1. How did you get involved with GMT?
After running into their club booth during the involvement fair 2 years ago, I really liked the causes that GMT stood for; after the 1st general meeting, I was hooked on getting more involved. The Nicaragua video really motivated me to be able to go on a trip, and the people were just so friendly and welcoming that I really felt like I wanted to invest in GMT as a family!
2. What’s your favorite GMT memory so far?
The unforgettable memories made during the trip, whether it is forming a special connection with a patient or getting to know a fellow team member, it really is a one-of-a-kind experience. Also, it was so refreshing to be able to be immersed in another culture and learn more about the people and lifestyle. I am so grateful that I was able to get to know some really amazing people that I still keep close til this day.
3. What is an interesting fact about yourself?
Interesting? Umm…I am left handed. And not very interesting. I have a cat if that counts for anything. Her name is Browny because she’s brown.
4. What superpowers would you want to have?
To be able to stop time, telekinesis, teleportation, to be able to manipulate metal objects (like Magneto)…too much? Just wanna make sure I have all my bases covered…I would be unstoppable!
5. What’s your favorite Pokémon?
Super tough question. Seriously! There are too many. I would say articuno, dratini (and its evolved forms), rapidash, cyndaquil, typhlosion, lapras, suicune, lugia, wobbuffet, mudkip..the list goes on. This is getting me so nostalgic. Come find me if you wanna know my reasonings, and we’ll talk pokemon!
6. If you can be a fruit, which would you be and why?
Durian, because they smell and nobody would want to eat me, except those who are worthy and willing to take a chance!
7. Other organizations you’re involved in?
The Edge, Kababayan, CHP, MUN, Research, SPOP
8. If you want to leave GMT knowing one thing, what would it be?
That it was a big piece of the puzzle that made my experience at UCI worthwhile!
